This 2 days hike around berber villages in the atlas mountains is a worthwhile trip out of Marrakech city. You will spend two days exploring the high Atlas Mountains & valleys on foot.
This trek will take you to explore the real Berber villages and see amazing different landscapes. This hike is gentile around the Atlas Mountains and around traditional Berber villages. Trekking in imlil and around berber villages make your holiday more enjoyable .

For Trekking Atlas Mountains you need to prepare as you would for walking in any mountain region; it can be warm and sunny during the day but the weather in the mountains can quickly change from sunshine to snow and cold winds (autumn through late spring). Please do not leave any rubbish behind you; carry out what you carry in.
Atlas Treks are tailored to match the season and your level of fitness. You have the choice of basing yourself in Berber Guesthouses, from where you can take daily walks, or you can Atlas Mule Trek for 2+ days. On mule treks you usually have the choice of staying in Berber Guesthouse/with families or wild camping in 2-person tents. In addition to regular packing, here is a Check List for Atlas Trekking:
Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8:30 am , and drive to the high atlas mountains. It will take around 1h15 drive to the starting point of the Trek where you will meet our local team! You will have a cup of tea before you start the hike towards the pass of Tizi n’Tachet from where you will have nice views over Imlil valley & Azzaden valley. Then , you will carry on walking to the lunch spot where you will enjoy a fresh meal prepared by our cook! After that, you will continue trekking along a rough road that will lead you to the village of Tizi Oussem where you will spend the night at a berber lodge. Around 5h walk.
After an early breakfast, you will start walking uphill to Tizi Mzik pass which is situated at an altitude of 2489m from where you will have breathtaking view over Imlil valley. After a short break on the pass, you will continue downhill to Imlil valley where you will have lunch before transfer back to Marrakech. Around 5h walk + 1h30 drive
